Wolfman (viewer's descretion is advised!)

Yes, Wolfman. I told myself I wouldn't watch it when I heard what it was about. But, being the person I am, and not wanting my brothers to watch something that I wouldn't because it was really scary (ok, the Mummy was an exception. I will NOT watch that! lol), decided to watch it at the last minute. So I hop downstairs wearing a men fleece sweatshirt carrying gummies and chocolate from Europe, and hope and pray that I won't be scared to death. Well, here is what I saw. A lame version of Beauty and the Beast. I am serious! Laurence Talbot, an English-born boy, was sent to America by his father after his mother commited suicide when he was a boy. Years later, his dear brother's wife sends for him after his brother was killed by an unknown creature. He returns to his father (Anthony Hopkins), and brother's wife (Emily Blunt, from The Young Victoria =D), and spends his time trying to find that creature. One night while in the camp of gypsies, the creature is revealed to be a wolf of unusual size and strength, which then literally tears apart each of the humans in that scene, ending with it biting Laurence in the neck. From this bite, he over time turns into a werewolf who gets loose and terrorizes the village they were in, and once captured by the somewhat annoying Inspector Frederick Abberline (Hugo Weaving, from LOTR!!!), transferred to London, and tortured for almost 30 days, till the time he was supposed to transform into a werewolf again. The doctors there thought he was mad, and to prove he was not, they had him secured to a chair in front of many, many elderly men, with a view of the full moon that would soon come by. Warning them about what was to happen, and begging them to kill him, as he did not want to be a beast and hurt souls, but not succeeding in his attempts, he turns into a werewolf again...yes, well, I shall stop there with the story. To sum it up, it was a very, very graphic and gory movie, very scary for lots of people, very gross (insides being torn out, to say the least, I am sorry), and it had many moments where something would happen all of a sudden, making you jump. I was prepared, and would dig my head into my dad's shoulder and make sure my ears were properly covered! lol So this movie is rated R for bloody gore and violence (yes. do not question this!), and is 103 minutes long. I would give it 2 of 5 stars. It really wasn't worth watching. lol So, I hope this helps some of you. haha
