Planet 51

=) I love this movie. I've been talking about it aaaaaaaaall day, and singing the really fun song that is played in a scene. haha =)  This movie is about a planet located in the rings of Saturn, where beings live. They fear that aliens will come to their planet and turn them into zombies or eat their brains for dinner. They are aliens, by the way. They think that any beings that are not themselves are aliens. Just like we do. haha Anyways, the day arrives when a spaceship lands in the backyard of a family with a son who is learning astronomy. The 'alien' ends up being a normal, random astronaut who just came to play some golf on the planet before taking off and becoming famous. My goodness, this movie is full of really funny jokes, some of which making my brother and I laugh for a full minute, though some are suggestive humor.  This is a great kid movie, and one adults and teens would enjoy. It is rated PG, has some mild action, and is around 90 minutes long. Very much worth taking time to watch it. =)

Dear John

Of course you have heard of this beautiful, sad, romantic story by Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and more. Psshhh, who could miss it? ;)  jk So this PG-13 movie is one my friends have talked about forever and a day, and became something I was very much looking forward to seeing. Just last night I was at RedBox and saw that it had come out THE day before, so I didn't even have to think before selecting that movie. x)  The story begins with a soldier in the Army. He is on a 14-day leave, and has gone back to his small, comfy home-town for the time, to spend surfing and just chilling, perhaps getting a couple words out of his coin-collecting, quiet, lonely but happy father. While there, he saves a bag a girl he spotted accidentaly drops in the water, and quickly becomes friends with this relaxed, fun, kind girl. They instantly click, and become lovers within 2 weeks. You probably know what happens, but if you don't, that is fine. You should really watch it. =D There are (I believe, but not positive) some words in this movie, and a scene you should skip, but it is really good. Not saying it's my favorite, or half as good as everyone said it was, but Nicholas did a great job. I love his books. =)

Tinker Bell 2

Awe, this is such a cute movie. Of course, once I found out (while watching Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel) that Tinker Bell 1 and 2 were playing last week on Saturday, I just had to make sure our Comcast system recorded them. I wanted to watch them, but was busy. So we did, and I watched it. Adorable! This movie has a very good lesson in it about how important friends are, and about how you should take the initiative and say sorry first, because you may have had something to do with what just happened. Tinker Bell is asked to be the Tinker fairy that makes the cepter used in the Blue Moon celebrations held every 8 years, which is responsible for producing blue pixie dust, which keeps Fairy Hollow alive, really. After an accident involving her best friend, Terrence, Tink goes off by herself, feeling anger and abandonment, in search of a magic mirror, which, according the the legends, will grant you a wish. Little kids just adore this movie, and I also enjoyed it. It was well-made, has great characters, a good story, and lots of beautiful, magical things. =) =)

Tinker Bell

Haha Yes, I watched Tinker Bell. And I am proud to have. =D I love fairies, and this movie was just amazing in how it portrayed them. Their beautiful, magical world full of nuts, squirrels, dew drops, tiny pots, light rays and more was just stunning. Tinker Bell, a new Tinker fairy, is a very helpful fairy. A little too helpful, sometimes. After learning that Tinkers do not go the the Mainland, where all the other talented fairies go at the turn of every season, she set her mind on learning to do the things other fairies do. After trying to catch light, hold dew drops, train baby birds to fly, and much more, she ends up ruining all the Spring preparations every fairy had been working on for months. Watch it to see the details and find out what happens. Super cute! Very kid-friendly, something that will amuse you when babysitting (;D). =) =)

Avatar

Finally!!! It has been months and months since this movie came out in theatres. Everyone it seems went to see it, except for us. The first month was crazy because everyone was excited, then they got bored, and went to see the new movies, Alice and How to Train Your Dragon, both of which I want to see. x) Anyways, we just got it the other day, and oh my goodness, is it amazing!!!!!! Aaaaah! It is too cool. =D =D In this film Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation and Clash of the Titans) and Zoe Saldana (Star Trek), and many other famous and talented actors and actresses tell the beautiful story that took at least 5 years to create. This movie is PG-13 and has lots of language, intense epic battle scenes, sensuality, and 'smoking', according http://www.imdb.com/ haha Anyways, it was soooo worth the wait! I could go on and on and on about how much I love this movie. It made it's way to the top section of my favorite movies. =) And no, I am not going to tell you the story. It is too good to read about it. Go watch it if you have not, and watch it again if you have!!!! lol =D

I Hate Valentine's Day

Ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? If so, then you may recognize the actors in this movie. This movie has that same couple in it, playing young store-owners who are completely different. haha She owns a flower shop, he just purchased an old restaurant which he transforms into a great place for everyone to hang out it. She has everything planned, knows how many dates to go on before getting attacked by heart break, and he is some poor fellow who cannot keep a girlfriend for more than a couple weeks. haha This movie is rated PG-13, jtlyk, and has a scene which was forwarded by my parents, has suggestive things, some language, maybe one or two crude jokes, and some gay guys. It has a cute, intersting story, though, and I liked it. Not much, but I don't hate it. =)

Hardwired

One thing I can say right away about this movie is that it was kinda gross. Seriously. One minute into it and I see something so disturbing I was uh, yeah...anyways, I was creeped out and on the edge of my seat more than once. haha This movie is about our world in the future, where advertisements have gone overboard. Every building is advertising something, whether it is Pepsi, a chocolate bar, McDonalds, or the latest watch. Luke Gibson (Cuba Gooding Jr, also seen in Radio, The Way of War, Daddy Day Camp, and many other movies), a faithful husband to a beautiful, pregnant woman, gets in a car accident one night. After seeing that his insurance card was expired, the surgeon has him moved and left. Hope Corporation, however, comes in just in time, saying they have a way to save him. By insterting a chip into the back of his head, he is able to live. His life came with a price, though. His memories were wiped away, so he had no feelings for his now dead wife. But advertisements also came. He started to see things others could not. Advertisements were played over and over in his head, and he could not stop them till he either bought or stole the items. Killing headaches start to torment this man after his first crime. After many people tried to kill him, and him only getting away because of floating directions in his mind, he joins a small team of hackers to get to the middle of Hope Corporation, and destroy those who were destroying others. Okay, people, this is rated R, with language, some suggestive material, and some kind of disturbing things. So if you decide to watch it, know that. haha This wasn't a bad movie. It was nice that a group of people were trying to save others, and it was well made. I would def. watch it again, but not too soon. =)
