Pride and Prejudice

Oh, goodness, whoever has not seen this movie MUST! I'm not talking about the 5-6 hour version. Heh Noooooo. I am talking about the 2005, Keira Knightley, best movie of the year version with that cute guy Matthew Macfadyen as the very quiet, reserved, somewhat opinionated Mr. Darcy. X) Okay, whatever. So this movie is about a family with 5 girls, an old father, and a mother who is determined to get the girls married to rich guys before her husband dies. Filled with Regency Era-style dresses, dancing, complicated English words, and a beautiful twist of romance, it is the perfect girls-night-in movie. =) I (along with a couple other girls) was found squeeling at really good parts. =D =D Aaaah, I just love this! X) Totally one of my favorites. =D And I have seen it four times at the moment. (Just to let my future self know...) Hope you enjoy it whenever you watch it!

Bride Wars

Yes, I know, that came out a while ago. But the really sad thing is I never actually saw it. We watched it on a plane once, but I didn't figure out there were free headsets till it was waaaay too late. So, I decided to watch it last week. And thought it would be a great movie. haha So funny, Kirstin. Yeah, no, it was not what I thought it would be. The only really good things about the movie were the wedding planning part (loved watching them pick flowers, sample desserts, and try on dresses), the putting-everything-together part, and the make-up part. And the end. That was cute. It has Anne Hathaway (Princess Diaries) and Kate Hudson (How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days) in it, to name a few, and is about two best friends who have been dreaming of their wedding being held in June at the Plaza Hotel. When their boyfriends ask them to marry them, they start the very short (in their case) wedding planning season. But, by accident, their weddings were booked on the same day, so they turn against each other for the entire time they are engaged, and basically kill each other with terrible things (dying the other person's hair blue, giving the other person a very orange tan color, getting the other person fat, etc. etc.). It was not that great. Really. I am glad it ended up kinda well, but I don't really plan on seeing it very often (maybe once or twice in the next ten years lol). So that is what I have to say about this movie. lol

The Blind Side

You have all heard of this movie, undoubtedly. Oh my goodness, is this movie amazing! It is rated pg-13 for one scene involving violence, language, and a couple references. Sandra Bullock is one of the lead characters, playing the role of a very rich christian wife who is very used to getting her way. Sandra plays so well, making her character have an awesome accent, boss guys around, and oh my goodness I just have her. haha She just keeps getting better and better in each of her movies. =D =D  So, this is a story about a boy. A big boy, named Michael. Michael is colored, huge, and knows very little, resulting in him being treated very differently than others. But he has a gift, that only those who know him are aware of. He has a protective nature, protective instincts that help keep those he loves safe. He demonstrates this time and again throughout the movie, and when his new family (Sandra's character adopts him into her family) realizes this and supports him in his decisions. He attends a school and finally gets grades good enough to allow him onto the football team. I am not going to spoil anything else. This is too good not to watch. Really. Now once you get off the computer, you must go rent that movie if you have not seen it!! =)

Love Happens

It does. Love just happens. haha =D This movie has Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart (Harvey from the Dark Knight) in it, and boy are they amazing! This movie is about a man, an author, who travels to Seattle for a conference he is going to be teaching at. He wrote a book after his wife's death, on how to get over the deaths of loved ones, which touches so many lives. After meeting a very cautious woman and getting to know her well, memories of his wife come back to haunt him, leading him and everyone around him to the discovery that he is not over her death, and he needs help with it. Filled with lots of humor (the good kind, trust me =D), pain, and love, this is a great movie to watch on the weekend with the fam. (haha I just wanted to add that and make it look 'pro'. =D) Great movie!! =D =D

The Prestige

This is a movie about two magicians trying to get the other guy's tricks and become the best magician. Don't know if that sounds amusing to you, but it sort of half did to me. My brother said it was better than Illusionist, which is a great movie we saw two, maybe three years ago. I believed him, and watched it. It is rated PG-13, and we had ClearPlay skip bad words and scenes, which are in the movie, to let you know. I did not like that movie. The guys obviously did not have Christ in their hearts, or forgiveness, which they both needed desperately. Killing each other's family members, other people around them, lying, stealing, and much more. I just did not like this two-hour movie. But that is just me. It has Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and many other amazing actors and actresses in it, though, so you may want to watch it for that. =D  I hope this helped you!
